Latest ad campaign of Sana Safinaz’s Latest Lawn Collection has spread the woes on social media websites due to featuring coolies in the advertisement.

In the Sana Safinaz’s Lawn ad campaign, fashion model Neha Ahmed is posing in front of coolies and is cuddling on the railway station. Some people are tweeting to boycott the lawn because the ad campaign is very exploitative.

The shoot took place at the City Railway Station and of Drigh Road. Twelve coolies went to the shoot. However, coolies shown in the advertisement are unaware that it is a lawn campaign. They were told that it is for a drama serial.

Coolies also received Rs600 for per day shoot and additional Rs2,000 on last day of shoot.

However, the online commentators say it exploiting the coolies and consider the advertisement distasteful. But according to the photographer for the Sana Safinaz’s Lawn ad campaign, Shani, of Guddu Shani told that Sana Safinaz wanted their lawn for the masses with lower prices. It is targeted through fashion model Neha by mingling with the coolies or sitting on the floor.

According to Shani, the Sana Safinaz’s Lawn ad campaign is misconstrued; people should understand its basic theme.
